Held by Miyakojima City Fire Department
Advanced Lifesaving Training
March 3 and 5, 2024.I participated in an advanced lifesaving course organized by the Miyakojima Fire Department.
We hold workshops on a regular basis, and last summer we had a total of about 30 participants.
This time, several new staff members joined us for the busy season, so we took the course again with veteran staff members.
Prevention of cardiac arrest
How to perform CPR and artificial respiration
How to use an AED
Removal of airway foreign bodies
Problems specific to children
Hemostasis and triangular bandage
classroom lecture
First, we learned about first aid and lifesaving procedures in a classroom lecture.
You never know when or where you might suddenly suffer an injury or illness. We were taught primary lifesaving procedures so that we could provide first aid.
We were also informed that there are only four ambulances on Miyako Island, and the average dispatch time is 10 minutes.
What can we do during those 10 minutes?Importance of first aid before the ambulance arrivesI was able to learn about the
practical skill
In the practical training, we were taught how to perform chest compressions and artificial respiration in preparation for the real thing.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a method of helping the heart and breathing to move after it has stopped.
He also taught us how to use AEDs and where they are installed on Miyako Island,If something goes wrong, we are ready to respond immediately.
It is best that nothing happens, but this is a very important training course because you never know what might happen at any time.
We will continue to attend regularly to keep up with what we have learned.

What we do differs depending on the field of the tour, so we will also introduce some of the things we are aware of.
(1) SUP/canoeing on a spectacular beach
Pipi has a special "just in case" system for each field of the tour.I bring an AED and an emergency bag.
This SUP/canoe tour is also safe because the guide is guiding you with a waterproof emergency bag on your back!

Why not take a safe and secure walk on the water above the spectacular beaches of Miyako Island?
(2) Explore the mysterious Pumpkin Cave!
Caving & Sea Kayak Tour
Taking a tour to explore the Pumpkin Cave is one of the best ways to spend time on Miyako Island.
There is a limestone cave called Pumpkin Hole on Miyako Island, but you can't get a signal inside,Pipi has a portable attendant in front of the cave.
Emergency response personnel will be installed separately from the guides to ensure that no matter what happens, there will be no worries!
This pumpkin hole hasThe God of the Dragon Palace dwells thereIt is believed to be a mysterious part of nature.

Miyako Island Complete Plan
Premium plan that includes SUP & sea turtle snorkeling & pumpkin cave exploration & canoeing!
This plan is recommended for those who want to conquer Miyako Island activities in safety and security.
Sea turtle snorkeling allows you to swim with sea turtles in the crystal clear waters of Miyako Island.
Guides don't just look out for the clients of their own team,We work with other guide teams to guide you.
We are always conscious of the need for the entire group to support each other, rather than having the guide in charge deal with unexpected incidents alone.
in the end
We introduced the life-saving training course that we have just taken and the safe and secure tours that we offer at Pipi.
How was it?
Pipi (wave of the infraorder Pipi)We strive to provide safe and secure tours on a daily basis.
Learning from professionals is always beneficial, as in the case of the recent lifesaving course.
Since we do not know what will happen at any given time, we will continue to search for ways to potentially save even 1% in the future.
